Concrete
Concrete makes up 70% of all C&D waste nationwide according to the EPA and is identified as the top material at C&D sites in Colorado as stated in a recent report by CDPHE. Demolition concrete is recycled widely by crushing and re-use as aggregate in new concrete as well as re-used onsite as fill material. Concrete recycling is a positive cost benefit as shown in this publication.
