Shingles

Asphalt roofing shingles can be recycled into asphalt to build or repair roads, driveways, walkways and parking lots. Wood shingles (e.g., cedar shakes) can be recycled with the wood recycling stream and metal roofing can be recycled with the metals recycling stream. Clay tiles may be resold at a salvage yard thus reducing the materials sent to the landfill.

Find out more about shingle recycling by clicking here.

Unfortunately, due to previous mishandling of material and lack of market demand, asphalt shingles are not considered a "recycleable material" in Colorado. Read the one page policy here.
